RRR for Genre cross writing by Ritanza Abron, Heet Patel, Jadah Jacob, Khodi Simelane

Haley Wellner, in her article "Genre Cross-Writing: A Methodology for Writing as Our Selves" (2021), shows that gene crossing in academic and creative writing allows people to express their raw identities through their work. She furthers this idea by introducing how writing in genres that are not typically associated with certain identities can offer deeper insights into societal and self-roles. Her purpose is to challenge traditional research methods so writers can expand their identity by showing them different genre usage.  She targets writers, establishing a tone that encourages exploration and self-discovery in writing. While reading the story, I was a little confused with Wellner’s genre cross-writing method. The way the story was constructed made it slightly harder to read.
